Highland Park is a neighborhood in Northeast Los Angeles. It was, along with Sycamore Grove, one of the first two communities to be annexed by Los Angeles, in 1895. In 1927, part of Annandale, Garvanza, Hermon, and York Valley (formerly New York Valley) joined together in an alliance as "Greater Highland Park." The Northeast Los Angeles region is one of Los Angeles's oldest, dating back to the annexation of Garvanza, Highland Park, and Sycamore Grove in the late 19th century. Pollok Country Park is a 146-hectare country park located in Pollok, Glasgow, Scotland. In 2007, Pollok County Park was named Britain's Best Park, and in 2008 it was named the Best Park in Europe, beating competition from parks in Italy, France, Germany, Poland and Sweden.

Synonymous with Scotland, the Highland Cow, or Hielan Coo as we would say, can be seen all over the country. This one is a resident at Newparks Farm in Muiravonside Country Park, near Linlithgow, Scotland. Newparks Farm, which has a variety of domestic stock consisting of rare breeds and exotic animals and birds, is open to the public all year round, a wonderful place to bring children! Highland cattle (also known as Hairy Coo or Hielan Coo) are an ancient Scottish breed of beef cattle with long outward spreading horns and long wavy pelts coloured black, brindled, red, yellow, or dun. A foggy fall day before the rains at Vogel State Park. Vogel State Park is a popular outdoor recreation area located in Blairsville, Georgia, in the United States. The park covers an area of 233 acres and includes a lake, hiking trails, camping facilities, and other amenities for visitors to enjoy. The park is named after Fred Vogel, who was the first superintendent of Georgia's state parks system. Vogel State Park was established in the 1930s as part of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) program, which was a New Deal initiative that provided jobs for unemployed young men during the Great Depression. The beautiful, secluded Loch an Eilean (meaning Loch of the Island) set in the ancient pine forest of the Rothiemurchus Estate, at the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, near Aviemore, in the Scottish Highlands. There is a nature trail round the loch, part of which follows Rathad nam Meirleach (the Thieves Road) along which cattle, stolen from Morayshire, were driven to Lochaber. BEST VIEWED LARGER
