Although other kinds of fluidity may involve changes in the genders someone is attracted to, abrosexuality involves someone's entire orientation changing over time. The intensity of their attractions may change as well. There is no set schedule experienced by all abrosexual people; it may fluctuate between hours, days, weeks, months, or even years for their orientations to change. Some abrosexual individuals do have their own fixed patterns or schedules, but not all. Some may be fluid between a few orientations, while others are fluid between several.

Thus, having had sex with someone of the same gender does not make anyone gay by definition. While some may know that they experience same-sex attraction from a young age, it can take others decades to figure it out or be comfortable enough with their identity to acknowledge it to themselves and others.

The common link between those on the aromantic spectrum is that they do not feel the "standard" amount of romantic attraction or they don't feel it in the "standard" way, that alloromantic individuals do.

The modern pride flag now includes stripes to represent the experiences of people of color, as well as stripes to represent people who identify as transgender, gender nonconforming (GNC) and/or undefined.

It has since become an astronomical symbol of the planet Venus and a botanical and zoological symbol of femaleness. Two interlocking Venus symbols (such as ⚢) often represent lesbianism. Multiple Pride flags combine the double Venus symbol with Gilbert Baker's rainbow designs.

Aroace individuals identify with another orientation label, but in a nonromantic, nonsexual way. For example, AroAces may identify as a bi aroace/bi oriented aroace or gay aroace/gay oriented aroace. This label can be based on any form of nonromantic/nonsexual attraction, such as platonic, sensual, aesthetic, alterous, queerplatonic attraction or a combination of these. The term aroace is used to refer to those who are strictly aromantic and asexual.

Some fraysexual people, may initially be attracted to another person; however, they find that their sexual attraction fades over time, particularly as an emotional connection is formed. Some fraysexual people have described their sexuality as an "imbalance of morals" that prevents them from being able to engage in sexual acts with any other person close to them. Fraysexuality has been considered by some to be the "opposite" of demisexuality.

corgi pride for the LGBTQIA in you Queer: is an identifier for individuals and/or the community of people who are not cisgender heterosexual. The chevron queer flag uses lavender colors due to their historical association with the LGBT+ community, the chevron shape for its non-straight lines, and its off-white color in reference to white light, which is a combination of all colors of the rainbow. Sensory issues were considered when designing this flag, thus the off-white background color and the rejection of a previously proposed flag.

corgi pride for the LGBTQIA in you Butch: an identity within the LGBTQIA+ community of some people whose outward gender expression matches their culture's understanding of masculinity. Most often, butches take on masculine roles and careers that are typically designated to men within their culture and time period. Butch originally referred to a style and gender role performed by masculine lesbians, and is still often associated with the lesbian community, but its usage and meaning have expanded and are not exclusive to lesbians.
