C. 1910 poster promoting New Orleans, Louisiana as the ' Logical ' new location for the Panama Exposition of 1915. The exposition was planned originally to be held in San Francisco but it was widely believed the city would not recover after the 1906 earthquake in time. Cities began lobbying efforts to become the new location, including New Orleans but ultimately, the expo was held in San Francisco, California.

I Know I've spelled it the English way, I find it hard to leave the u out. Anyway this beautiful heron was fishing in the shade and suddenly waded into a shaft of sunlight and it's plumage just lit up. The tricoloured heron is a very attractive bird and when you see it like this in full breeding plumage, it has a lot more than 3 colours. Edited in Photoshop CC and Topaz.
