Maned wolves (Chrysocyon brachyurus) are a canine found in South America. Although they resemble a fox they are a truly unique species, neither fox nor wolf! The maned wolves have a distinct appearance with very long legs and red brown fur with patches or dark brown or black and large pointed ears.

The maned wolf is a native of the South American interior. It has the stature of a wolf and the markings of a fox, but is neither. It is just as beautiful as its cousins.
