People worry about looking cool and stylish a lot. I just focus on being happy. Being happy never goes out of style.

Love is a gift. Even love that is not returned is beautiful, but to enjoy it fully, you must remember to love yourself with the same love you flow to others.

This is one of those sayings that a mentor passed to me that I never forgot. Not everybody is right for you, and you are not right for everybody. Don't take it personal. Most people are the wrong people.

The impending torpedoing of abortion rights inspired protests of all kinds, and as usual, the criticism of protest is never far behind. The Reverend Dr. Jacqui Lewis dropped this jewel on Twitter that spoke loudly to me.

It remains the second happiest day of my life. Father's Day 2011. A family trip to the all-you-can-eat buffet. Married to my college sweetheart. sitting next to my perfect little bundle of joy. Spending day off from my great job with the two people I love the most, who also love me. I was living the dream.

Life Is Good is a Sketch Cloud that I drew in 2018. I drew it during a pretty hard time in my life, but it was a time when I had started to embrace the power of maintaining a good attitude. I drew it with a pencil on an 8x10 sheet of off-white 110 lb card stock paper. LIFE IS GOOD is all about appreciating the little things.  Because having a good attitude about life makes all the difference! This drawing is equal parts inspirational and silly (yes, that really is a toilet and a poop emoji).   Whatever it takes to get through the day, am I right?!? 

I very rarely argue with anyone on the internet. But a Facebook "friend" tried to say I was "lucky" in the comments and I stayed on his tail until he "agreed to disagree." Looking at that in my FB memories got me thinking. Quitters are always trying to call me lucky. Never that. Magic? Maybe. Blessed? Fa sho. But I go too hard to let anyone call my wins luck.

"Sic transit gloria . . . Glory fades." Just an obscure quote from one of my top favorite movies of all time. If you know, you know.
