A wild red campion, looking somewhat pink... A wildflower in full blossom entices a pollinator, a hover fly. We need to 'hold onto the flowers' ~ let them grow - for all of the pollinators.

A flower fly or 'hover-fly' sits upon wild 'red campion' more pink rather than red, one of the only chances to photograph these fast flying flies is whilst they are 'tasting nectar' or gathering pollen... I took this shot because of the subject matter - but I really was interested in the contrast of pink colour with that of the background - a deep green!

Two Grypocoris beetles use their piercing mouthparts called a 'labium' - to suck and feed off the sap of wild campion blossom.
