Oleson's Mercantile Kids T-Shirt

Description: Oleson's Mercantile was the general store owned and operated by Harriet and Nels Oleson. The Mercantile is one of the main businesses in Walnut Grove, and also a major setting on Little House on the Prairie. The Olesons established the Mercantile many years earlier, before their children (Nellie and Willie) were born, and is a highly successful business, serving the needs of Walnut Grove and Hero Township. The Mercantile was first seen in Little House's debut episode, "A Harvest of Friends," and is the setting for many of the the show's episodes and plots. It is one of two businesses operated by the Oleson family, the other being Nellie's Restaurant and Hotel, which was established in the Season 6 season premiere "Back to School."

Description: Bullocks Wilshire, located at 3050 Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles, California, is a 230,000-square-foot (21,000 m2) Art Deco building. The building was completed in 1929 as a luxury department store for owner John G. Bullock (owner of the more mainstream Bullock's in Downtown Los Angeles). The department store served the upper crust of Los Angeles society. In its heyday, Bullocks Wilshire patrons included Mae West, John Wayne, Marlene Dietrich, Alfred Hitchcock, Greta Garbo, ZaSu Pitts, Walt Disney and Clark Gable. While struggling to become an actress, a teen-aged Angela Lansbury worked as a sales clerk. Future First Lady Patricia Nixon also served a stint on the floor.

Description: Bullock's was a chain of full-line department stores from 1907 through 1995, headquartered in Los Angeles, growing to operate across California, Arizona and Nevada. Bullock's also operated as many as seven more upscale Bullocks Wilshire specialty department stores stores across Southern California. Bullock's was founded in 1907 at Seventh & Broadway in downtown Los Angeles by John G. Bullock, with the support of The Broadway Department Store owner Arthur Letts. In 1923, Bullock and business partner P.G. Winnett bought out Letts' interest after his death and the companies became completely separated.
