This illustration features an array of merfolk from around the world. The merbeings depicted include: a blonde-haired northern European mermaid, a red-capped male merrow of Irish lore, a blue-skinned Danish havmand, a necklace-wearing bonito maiden from the traditions of the Sa'a people of the Solomon Islands, a human-faced Japanese ningyo, and a red-eyed kaaiman of South Africa.

Four super cute mermaids make a splash in beautiful pastel colours, green, pink, blue and yellow. Decorated in bright coloured starfish, pearls and shiney sea shells. Mermaid kisses and starfish wishes.

This is a drawing that Tane (8) did for me, and that I coloured by hand and in photoshop. They are (from left to right) Tane, Grace, Perrin and Mila, my lovely daughters. Grace has asked for this as a T shirt.

I was doodling the other night, as I do, and my doodles became this mermaid, with plenty of hair and a certain frustrated expression. I looked at her, and knew just how she felt... How often I've seen that expression on my own face on a bad hair day. Lol.
