Its summer and I took a few trips to the beach just to watch waves. Yes despite being Australian and in Sydney I do not live near a beach Anyway this is inspired by a combination of memories and yearning during covid lockdown and watching waves the few times I could get to a beach. Why the dark background well to suggest deep waters and water foaming on the edge of coastal rock platforms anyway enjoy oh and why digital cos waterbased acrylics or traditional on paper or canvas would require hours of mucking around with medium or tissues and dry brushes or layers or ...well with Gimp it takes about 1 - 3 hours and I can erase mistakes without wasting paper towel or tissues
