Birds Nest Fern Mugs

I find the epiphytes fascinating ~ particularly the wonderful birds nest ferns ~ which seem to adorn many trees in the tropics. Wanted to portray an Old World exploratory feeling in this image... and so gave it a somewhat retrograde look ~ a contrast of light and shadow.

Asplenium nidus is an epiphytic species of fern in the family Aspleniaceae
