Fisheye view of the interior of the Cathedral of Rio which is dominated by 4 soaring stained glass panels at the 4 cardinale points of the building, terminating in a clear glass cross at the apex. The Roman Catholic Cathedral of Saint Sebastian, Sao Sebastiano, is dedicated to Saint Sebastian, the patron saint of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The current church was built between 1964 & 1979 & replaced a series of old churches that had served as cathedrals since 1676. It is also known by the name of The Immaculate Conception Cathedral or simply the Comayagua Cathedral, it is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. It is one of the oldest cathedrals in Central America, built from 1634 and inaugurated in December 1715, with most of the construction work taking place between 1685 and 1715. The church, built between 1722 and 1838 was known as "The Cathedral of The Americas" because it was built with money from the trade between Spain and America and was designed by the architect Vicente Acero, who had also built the Granada Cathedral. Interior detail. St John's Co-Cathedral, Valletta, Malta. It dedicated to Saint John the Baptist. It was built by the Order of St. John between 1572 and 1577, having been commissioned by Grand Master Jean de la Cassière as the Conventual Church of Saint John. In the 17th century, its interior was redecorated in the Baroque style by Mattia Preti and other artists. The interior of the church is considered to be one of the finest examples of high Baroque architecture in Europe.

I had the pleasure to attend a wedding in this beautiful Cathedral in Poland. The Kielce Cathedral It is located in the centre of the region’s capital, particularly famous for its age-old history and artistic craftsmanship The immense building is located on the St. Virgin Mary’s Square on the Castle Hill in Kielce. Firstly, it had been a small Romanesque collegiate church of the St. Virgin Mary’s Assumption, erected in 1171 by the Cracow bishop Gedeon (Gedko). It was built on a hill where the old city of Kielce had been located (280 above the sea level). The building was modelled on a fortress with two watchtowers and is entirely made of dressed stone.
