Led by a breakfast cereal mascot, The Sugar Bears were one of these made-up groups that put out several singles on cereal boxes - yes, that was a thing. They released an actual LP called 'Presenting The Sugar Bears' that charted with the hit 'You Are The One,' as well as several singles to promote the record. The Sugar Bears were only active for one year, but earned their place in pop culture as the cartoon band that makes hit singles.

In the early ’60s, the cereal debuted in Japan as Cornfrost, later renamed the more playful Corn Frosty. This design is inspired by the bold Japanese branding of the early 1970s.
