Built in the 14th century, St Peters church in Irthlingborough, Northamptonshire (UK) was originally a college for six secular canons. It has lantern tower, which is unusual for the area (they are normally normally associated with churches on the Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire fens). When it was built the valley between the neighbouring town was un-drained and prone to heavy fogs, and so fires would be lit in the lantern to guide travellers across the Nene and marshes. The stunning west porch of St Mary's church in Higham Ferrers (Northamptonshire UK) Part of the original church, it was built between 1270-80. The roundels in the Tympanum depict scenes from the lives of Jesus Christ and Mary. Around each of the twin doorways are carved Old Testament characters of David's line which found fulfillment with the birth of Christ, who forms the centrepiece in his mother's arms. It is thought to be the work of the foreign masons employed to rebuild Westminster Abbey as it resembles the style and quality found there. HDR photography

This 7th-century Christian monastery, is a legendary monastery that has sat in silent ruin for centuries. And apart from being home to 3 terrifying spectres, dating back to Saxon times, the eerie setting of the ruined abbey inspired Bram Stoker to pen his immortal novel of horror, Dracula.

In the Bleak Midwinter Number of views as of 10th June 2017 = 1000. Number of sales as of 10th June 2017 = 8. St John's Church Moordown, Bournemouth, Dorset. Designed by architect G.E.Street and completed in 1874, St John's is unusual because of its north-south orientation (most churches are east-west). The church tower was added in 1923 and houses eight bells, cast at a cost of £301. Date: 2nd December 2010.
