Picturesque red wooden boathouses by the Aurlandsfjord at Flåm in Norway. Flåm sits at ther furthest end of the fjord which is a branch of the Sognefjorden - the longest fjord in Norway. It's a very narrow fjord and is deep enough for larger ships to travel along its length and so is a destination for cruise ships. The mountains surrounding the fjord are high - reaching about 1800m. A First Glimpse of the Fjords Just after dawn, on the 2nd of May 2018, as we sailed up through Sognefjord and Aurlandsfjord, towards the village of Flåm, Norway.
