Description: Founded in 1863, Pacific Lumber Company, known as PALCO, was one of California's major logging and sawmill operations, located 28 miles south of Eureka and 244 miles north of San Francisco. Primary operations existed in massive log storage and milling operations in the historic company town of Scotia, California, located adjacent to US 101 along the Eel River, with secondary mills located in Fortuna and Carlotta. PALCO had extensive timber holdings exceeding well over 200,000 acres in the Redwood and Douglas-Fir forests of Humboldt County. Known as the Redwood Empire, for generations, PALCO was one of the largest private employers in the region, and operated the world's largest Redwood Mill ever constructed.
Description: Packard Sawmill was an industrial facility in the town of Twin Peaks. The mill was founded in the late 1880s by James Packard on two acres by Black Lake Falls with eight employees. After an altercation with Kwakiutl Indians over the land, the mill was built, and its saw was originally powered by the water above the falls it was built next to. The original mill's structure was razed in 1922 and was rebuilt across 25 acres by James’ son, Thomas. The employment had grown to 100 people by 1924.

Until its closure in 2003 it was one of the world's largest steel producing and shipbuilding companies. At the height of its success and productivity, the company was a symbol of American manufacturing leadership in the world, and its decline and ultimate liquidation in the late 20th century is similarly cited as an example of America's diminished manufacturing leadership. From its founding in 1857 through its 2003 dissolution, Bethlehem Steel's headquarters and primary steel mill manufacturing facilities were based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, in the Lehigh Valley region of the United States.

NB Cash for old Brass & Copper '. Revere was 65 years old when he started the foundry. He spent the rest of his life refining and perfecting his craft until he died in 1818. Description: Prophecy is a 1979 American science fiction/horror film directed by John Frankenheimer and written by David Seltzer. It stars Robert Foxworth, Talia Shire and Armand Assante. Set in the Androscoggin or Ossipee River, the film follows an environmental agent and his wife filing a report on a paper mill in the river, not knowing that the paper mill's waste made a local bear mutate, causing the bear to run amok in the wilderness. A novelization of the film, written by Seltzer as well, was also published, with the tagline "A Story of Unrelenting Terror".
