Description: 1800 trade card from Paul Revere's Foundry and Copper Mill. The card states ' Paul Revere and Son, all their Bell and Cannon Foundry at the North Part of Boston '. The trade card further states ' Craft Bells and Brass Cannon of all Sizes, and all kinds of Composition Work. Manufacture Sheets, Bolts, Spikes, &c. Malleable Copper and Cold Rolled. NB Cash for old Brass & Copper '. Revere was 65 years old when he started the foundry. He spent the rest of his life refining and perfecting his craft until he died in 1818. The son and other family members continued operation until well into the 20th century. Paul Revere - a Boston original.
Description: Founded in 1863, Pacific Lumber Company, known as PALCO, was one of California's major logging and sawmill operations, located 28 miles south of Eureka and 244 miles north of San Francisco. Primary operations existed in massive log storage and milling operations in the historic company town of Scotia, California, located adjacent to US 101 along the Eel River, with secondary mills located in Fortuna and Carlotta. PALCO had extensive timber holdings exceeding well over 200,000 acres in the Redwood and Douglas-Fir forests of Humboldt County. Known as the Redwood Empire, for generations, PALCO was one of the largest private employers in the region, and operated the world's largest Redwood Mill ever constructed.

Originally printed in Tommy Thumb’s Pretty Song Book, Vol. II, published in London in 1744, this tiny piece of Georgian-era children’s literature has somehow survived almost three centuries only to still remain relevant today, assuming you've got beef with someone who has an inferior mill.
