Leonetto Cappiello was an Italian artist who lived much of his life in France. He is considered the “Father of Modern Advertising Poster”with his use of bold subjects and unconventional colors. This ad for Revel umbrellas depicts the tops of three umbrellas as they shelter their holders from a rainstorm.
