Haunted House, Nocton Hall Hospital Nocton Hall was originally built as an RAF hospital in 1940, but it was decided that it was too small and alternative facilities where found, despite never being used. In 1945, Nocton Hall hospital was chosen to be the RAF general hospital for Lincolnshire and several new buildings were erected on the site in 1946, with the hospital officially opening in 1947. The building is said to be haunted by the ghost of a young girl, believed to be the spirit of a servant who was murdered in the house by her own son. She's been blamed for the disembodied sound of sobbing around the building. She's also been seen standing at the end of staff members' beds in the middle of the night. The building is also...

Lincoln Cathedral Panorama Lincoln Cathedral shares with Durham the most spectacular placing of any of the British cathedrals. It can be seen from approximately 20 miles in certain directions. The Cathedral was built mainly in three periods: Norman (1075-1092), Early English (1191-1250 then 1256-1300) and then alterations and additions in 14th & 15th Centuries. In the late 17th Century the Wren Library was built and the cloister walk restored. Various other works and restorations have been carried out ever since. The Cathedral is 482 ft long and the crossing tower is 271 ft high. The chancel vault is 74 ft high and the nave 82 ft. The majority of stone used in the construction is local Oolitic limestone. Pendine Sands Cave This amazing cave was hidden around a corner on a stormy day, so I could have easily missed this stunning bit of natural architecture. Pendine Sands (Welsh: Traeth Pentywyn, "end of the dunes beach") 7 miles (11 km) of beach on the shores of Carmarthen Bay on the south coast of Wales. It stretches west to east from Gilman Point to Laugharne Sands. The village of Pendine is close to the western end of Pendine Sands. This will really stand out as a print and look as if you're really inside the cave looking out to sea. By Paul Thompson Photography

Sandstone Bridge Across The River Eden, Cumbria, UK As we were staying in Lazonby, this river was just down the hill from our cottage. The river was known to the Romans as the Itouna, as recorded by the Greek geographer Claudius Ptolemaeus (Ptolemy) in the 2nd century AD. This name derives from the Celtic word ituna, meaning water, or rushing. Thus there is no relation to the biblical Garden of Eden. By Paul Thompson Photography

Traditional Victorian Chemist Shop Lotions And Potions Back in the day, not so long ago, this is what a traditional chemist shop looked like. This is where you handed in your prescription and received your medicine. The dispensary would readily hand out morphine for a child’s cough or leeches for a wound and earthworms to cure your bruise. The Apothecary stocked medicines including laudanum for dysentery, chlorodyne for coughs and colds, and camphorated tincture of opium for asthma. So I present this bit of nostalgia for your walls here at Redbubble. By Paul Thompson Photography

But her emails A not-so-subtle way to change the subject when you are about to be faced with being wrong about something. This is a reference to overlooking many many many problems with donald trump due to the single issue of Hillary Clinton's private email server, and using that reason as both a reason and defense for voting for him. This is currently used by trump voters any time any legitimate fault is found of Mr. trump. Person A: "Mr. trump rants that the media inaccurately covers him but when a reporter is kindly attempting to get his point of view he not only r...

The Town Of Great Grimsby This is one of the welcome signs to my birth home town of Great Grimsby in North Lincolnshire, UK. This one is on the way in from Louth and Toll Bar School and I couldn't have asked for a better day to be taking outdoor photographs. I have just spent a couple of hours being ferried around the outskirts of town by my wife, parking in awkward places {sorry if you were behind us) and jumping out to get a couple of photos before the traffic built up behind us. There will be a few more different versions of these over the coming days in various formats. Let me know if you want me to upload individual photos of separate signs and I will do this for you and may well upload them all separately anyway. By Paul T...

Available on all products but designed especially as a large format print to amaze your friends and family with when displayed on a prominent wall in your home. Spindrift Whitby Spindrift (more rarely spoondrift) is the spray blown from cresting waves during a gale. This spray, which "drifts" in the direction of the gale, is one of the characteristics of a wind speed of 8 Beaufort and higher at sea. York City Shambles At Night Shambles (or The Shambles as it is often referred to) is a street in the city centre of York with a long and interesting past. Dating back to Medieval times this street is amazing day or night. The starburst from the street lights reflect on the puddles highlighted by the low point of view. The Shambles is an old street in York, England, with overhanging timber-framed buildings, some dating back as far as the fourteenth century. It was once known as The Great Flesh Shambles, probably from the Anglo-Saxon Fleshammels, the word for the shelves that butchers used to display their meat. By Paul Thompson Photography

The Yorkshire Moors Sheep On The Purple Heather A lone tree and the marked sheep feed between the heather plants on the Yorkshire Moors in England. It takes a special kind of plant to thrive in moorland areas, where the weather is often cold, wet and windy. Heather – an evergreen shrub with twiggy stems – covers our open moorland. Usually lots of heather plants grow together, forming a thick, bushy carpet, sometimes up to half a metre tall. This helps the plant to survive strong winds. Heather also has tiny, narrow leaves shaped like the needles on a Christmas tree, which stop the plant from losing too much water as the winds blow across the moors. Nectar from heather flowers makes excellent honey, and local beekeepers often br...
