STAY HUNGRY - „Mindshots“ is a series of universally understandable illustrations created to convey my personal thoughts and current questions by graphic means. It addresses aspects of modern and daily life, such as cyberbullying, digitalization, communication, and love, in a stylistically reduced manner. The original imagery shifts in color from black to grey to red, and is sometimes critical, at times ironic, and at times humorous. I turn 35 this Saturday, half way to 70. Time to take stock, I think. Well, my hair is starting to go grey, I need glasses (sometimes), half of my children are teenagers, there is a new wrinkle on my face every day, my back aches in places it never used to and I have finally realised that I have to be disciplined enough to put sunscreen on EVERY DAY. On the plus side, I have 35 more years to go before I hit 70, my hairdresser is lovely, I sometimes DON'T need glasses, half my children are NOT teenagers, I'm finally disciplined enough to put sunscreen on EVERY DAY and (most importantly) I own a copy of Photoshop. : ) Self portrait.

Featured in Collective Collage - September 09 - Thank you very much to the hosts! Found this charming little creature in my garden, they frequent my yellowwood trees. I just love how her skin looks like a gorgeous pebble mosaic in miniature. She was about 10 cm head to tail and full of fiery attitude - suitable for a tiny dragon like this one. I reckon God has such fun with each chameleon he creates, placing their tiny jewel tiles in place on their perfect armour...
