Before the internet, you could also buy tickets for upcoming concerts. Unfortunately, the popularity of buying online grew and Strawberries would soon fade. Locations included Texas, Maryland, New England and Mid-Atlantic states.
Description: Don't be fooled by the cute name — this New England–based chain had ties to the mob. Strawberries was opened and owned by Morris Levy, erstwhile owner of Manhattan's famed Birdland jazz club and president of the Roulette Records label. In 1988, Levy was convicted of extortion in Federal court. The FBI claimed he had ties to organized crime and drug dealers, but what do we know, we just did the hippie vibe of this t-shirt :)

Description: Chapter 3 Records was a small record store chain in the Atlanta area from the '70s to the '90s. In Atlanta, there were three locations; Buckhead, Smyrna and North Springs. There were also locations in Morgantown, WV, Greensboro, NC and Gainesville, FL. Chapter 3 had the atmosphere of an independent store, even though it was technically a chain. It was dubbed "The Lowest Priced Record Chain in the Southeastern United States."

The Musicland Group was purchased by Best Buy in 2001 at the height of Musicland's success, which ultimately led to its demise. Jack Eugster was the CEO of The Musicland Group, from 1980, until February 2001. Its headquarters were in Minnetonka, Minnesota.
