Tarr Steps, captured here at autumn as a watercolour, is an ancient clapper bridge (a bridge made of un-mortared stone slabs) which crosses the River Barle about 6.5 miles upstream from Dulverton, Devon.

Béla Tarr (born 21 July 1955) is a Hungarian filmmaker. Debuting with the film Family Nest (1977), Tarr began his directorial career with a brief period of what he refers to as "social cinema", aimed at telling mundane stories about ordinary people, often in the style of cinema vérité.

There are differing opinions about the sounds Bald Eagles make, some say they scream, others say they screech or cry. Whichever is correct, I have gone for the safe option and named this picture "The Call of The Eagle" They are such beautiful birds and they always have an angry expression and a permanent frown. Kohlmarkt, originally known as Coal Market is one of the oldest streets in Vienna. Like Graben, it is an eclectic collection of wonderful historical buildings and up-market shops. On entering Kohlmarkt, your eyes are immediately drawn westward to the green coloured, copper dome of the Michaelertor, which is at the entrance to the imperial palace of the Hofburg. The shop fronts are every bit as enticing as the stunning architecture on the façade and interiors of the buildings. Several famous architects have worked on these buildings including the famous Hans Hollein. One of the oldest structures is a fountain that was originally constructed in 1391 though it has undergone renovations, using the existing plans in the late 19th centur...

A magnificent Siberian Tiger snarling as he glides silently through the falling snow. It is estimated the wild population of Siberian tigers at around 350-450 tigers. Almost all wild Siberian tigers live the Southeast corner of Russia in the Sikhote-Alin mountain range east of the Amur River. Their former range included northeastern China and the Korean Peninsula, and as far west as Mongolia. They are the largest of the tiger species and can grow up to 13 feet in length and weigh up to 700 lbs. The Siberian –or Amur- tiger is considered a critically endangered species with the primary threats to its’ survival in the wild being poaching and habitat loss from intensive logging and development. It's that lovely time of the day, when the sun is going down and a balmy breeze is blowing in from the Gulf. The birds are looking for their supper before settling down for the night and a couple of pelicans are diving offshore. A great blue heron glides along the edge of the tide looking for a place to land and catch his last fish of the day. This is a composite made from several of my photos and textures, all blended together in Photoshop CC and Topaz

If you ever get the chance to walk along the Gulf shores in Florida as the sun is going down, you are very likely to see a Great Blue Heron or two swooping down to patrol the tide and look for their supper. Edited in Photoshop CC and Topaz Clarity.

This started out as a photo I took of a Macaw in flight in Tenerife but I wanted to make it more dramatic by giving it more movement and highlighting the beautiful plumage against a black background. I edited it in Photoshop CC and Topaz studio. Taken with a Nikon D7000 and an 18-200 mm lens

You hear them first, loud calls and screeches and then suddenly you see the flash of colour as they fly across the treetops. There are fewer sights more rewarding than seeing macaws in flight. Macaws are amongst the most colourful birds in the world, they are natives of Central and South America and are becoming endangered due to them being hunted for pets and their natural habitat being destroyed for the timber trade. I captured these two in a free flight display in Tenerife and edited them in Photoshop and Topaz.

The Horse and Hound Inn in Broadway, in the heart of the Cotswolds is a traditional, oak beamed Pub, offering B&B and a restaurant, Broadway is often referred to as The Jewel of The Cotswolds as it is a very pretty village, full of history. Edited in Photoshop CC and Topaz Studio Panasonic Lumix.

I Know I've spelled it the English way, I find it hard to leave the u out. Anyway this beautiful heron was fishing in the shade and suddenly waded into a shaft of sunlight and it's plumage just lit up. The tricoloured heron is a very attractive bird and when you see it like this in full breeding plumage, it has a lot more than 3 colours. Edited in Photoshop CC and Topaz.

This is a beautiful snowy owl that I got to know called Magnum, unfortunately he has now passed on. This is one of my favourite shots of him and I have given it a painterly look using photoshop CC and Topaz.

A Bald eagle, perched on a misty rock calls plaintively to it's mate. I took this picture in the Park of The Eagles in Tenerife where they have exhibitions of the eagles in free flight. It was on a rooftop when I took it so I placed it in some more appropriate surroundings, using Photoshop cc and topaz and my own textures.

I was thinking about doing a seasonal picture and I have seen quite a few with red cardinals in snow. I took a few pictures of them when I was in Florida on holiday earlier this year, but there was no snow around then, so I imported a snowy branch and placed this little fellow on it, (artistic license I think it's called). I quite liked the result so I've called Christmas Cardinal.

I photographed these two dancers at a street festival in my local town square. They were doing a great Jive routine and drew quite a big crowd. It reminded me of that great Motown song by Martha and The Vandellas called Dancing in the street. I took several photos of them in action and may post more in the set if you like them.
