Sea Pink, Scottish Highlands, May 2023 Sea pink or sea thrift (armeria maritima) is a species of flowering plant which can be found growing wild in coastal areas across the Northern Hemisphere. It is well suited to dry, sandy, saline conditions such as coastal cliffs, grasslands and salt marshes, where it flowers between April and October. This clump was seen on the rocky beach between Arisaig and Mallaig in the West Highlands of Scotland. Date: 17th May 2023.
