This is an aerial image taken somewhere during a short flight between Toronto and Ottawa. The river below is one of the tributaries of the Ottawa River. With subtle differences in texture and grain ~ I wanted to investigate and experiment further the nuances as such ~ within the field... and where better than a grain or grass field..!?! It didn't take me long to find a subject matter and working the exposure triangle allowed me to capture this delicate yet colourful snap of a meadow brown ~ "on the underwing" Many butterflies for camouflage reasons have different colour and pattern on their undersides - to give them a little R&R from predation - whilst feeding.

I really like horses and I wanted to create a doodle of a horse running in lavender fields. So this is what I came up with.

The Aoraki/Mt Cook region is sometimes called the Mackenzie Country—it's the high inland basin beneath the Southern Alps and Aoraki/Mt Cook, south west of Christchurch. At 3,753 metres Aoraki/Mt Cook is New Zealand's highest mountain. It towers above a splendid cast of massive snow-clad peaks that make up the Aoraki/Mt Cook National Park. Nudging one side of Aoraki/Mt Cook is the mighty Tasman Glacier, a 30 kilometre giant and one of the longest outside the Himalayas Camera: Canon EOS 20D
