This image was shortlisted in the biggest astrophotography competition - Astronomy Photographer of the Year 2021! It depicts how the beautiful Milky Way (Dark Horse nebula) and Rho Ophiuchi complex rise above the telescopes of a small observatory near Bern, Switzerland. To me, this scene reminds that even though people are largely restricted to Earth, nothing stops them from exploring the beauties of the universe.

The largest of thee telescopes at the David Dunlap Observatory in Richmond Hill, Ontario. Though no longer used for astronomy it is an educational facility and a park and has been used as filming locations for Hannibal and Umbrella Academy.

JWST, or the James Webb Space Telescope, will observe the universe in near-infrared light to study the first stars and galaxies that formed after the Big Bang, the evolution of galaxies, stars and planetary systems, and the origins of life. In 2007 replaced the earlier Waldo–Hancock Bridge which was built in 1931. It is a cable stayed bridge. Unlike the bridges in Halifax, Nova Scotia and San Francisco, CA which have double cables at the outside lanes, this bridge uses a single cables down the middle of the lanes.
