Canon Rebel T3i. This isn't just any old two story house, it has a lot of childhood memories for me. You see this was my late grandparents home, and it wasn't run down like it has become in recent years. My Daddy and I would go visit at Christmas and sometimes I would spend a week in the summer with my Grandmother and Papa. Grandmother would send me to the corner store with a list of items, and put it on her store credit, Papa and I would take a city bus to downtown. Built in 1920. Bristol, Virginia USA. Govenor Zebulon B. Vance and his family lived in the Vance House from April to June of 1865 after the evacuation of Raleigh from Sherman’s troops. The house was saved from destruction in 1950 by the United Daughters of the Confederacy and moved from West Broad Street to Sharpe Street. In 1951, the ladies opened the Vance House Museum to tell the story of Governor Vance and the brave Confederate soldiers. Statesville, North Carolina USA. Thank you for looking at my Photography!!! This house whose owner must have a strong sense for national traditions is in the village of Montagnola near Lugano, in the Italian speaking part of Switzerland called Ticino. The flag shows national pride and the corn cobs are a reminder of the region's past when corn was the main crop and polenta - which is basically corn flour - the staple food of the locals. Nowadays, corn cobs are only for decoration.

Old Vannes in Brittany, France, has many lovingly renovated old timber houses of various colors. This detail of a yellow-brown house with differently sized windows struck me as particularly interesting.

This is an image of a pair of condo towers in downtown Toronto. I loved the balconies on the two buildings, where they didn't line up in the way balconies usually do on buildings like these. The alignment varies from floor to floor, and yet they follow a theme, The buildings are a pair of architectural delights.
