I discovered this small historic church in the rural community of Uigg (pronounced U-igg) during my travels of Prince Edward Island, Canada. The elegant simplicity of the Uigg Baptist Church is a testament to the Scottish pioneers who settled the area in 1829, coming from their home in Uig, Isle of Skye. Constructed in 1874, it has the original clapboard siding, with sets of 3 Gothic Revival windows complete with glazing bars and original glass on each side. It is registered as a Historic Place, in the province of Prince Edward Island.
