Description: A tree with exposed roots, creates an interesting abstract. I am always on the lookout for unusual scenes on a trail hike. Here a reservoir had been drained for the fall leaving the stump and exposed roots in the mud. Nature creates some interesting studies in patterns. To go on a photographic adventure, not knowing what I may discover is exciting. My interests vary - I find pleasure in the ordinary things one might miss, which I then capture for others to see. Sharing my findings with others, I hope you enjoy the view through my eyes. This will look great framed on your wall in your home or office or produced on a variety of products. Description: Cascading ice etched the cliffside like a frozen memory—one I hadn’t planned to find. After a long day of travel, I wandered into this gorge by chance, drawn by instinct more than itinerary. I was particularly pleased with the splash of light from the setting sun- brushing the rim of rock and trees. This fleeting harmony of land, light, and weather. These are the moments I chase to photograph, when the landscape speaks, and I’m lucky enough to listen. Soon it will melt into spring, but for this brief stillness, the land whispered, and I was there to hear it. This was one of those unexpected discoveries—ice etched into the rock like a memory held in place for just a little longer.

Description: Rivière-du-Loup Waterfall – Quebec’s Roaring Legacy Ribbons of cascading water tumble over rugged stone as autumn’s golden hues frame the iconic waterfall of Rivière-du-Loup, Quebec. Towering 33 metres high, this natural marvel has long captivated visitors and locals alike—whether viewed from the footbridge above or felt in the misty roar below. At its crest, a historic dam stands as a testament to the town’s pioneering spirit: in 1928, Rivière-du-Loup became one of the first communities in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region to harness hydroelectric power, fueling progress and pride. This image blends nature’s raw beauty with echoes of innovation—a tribute to the enduring rhythm of water and time.
Description: A cobblestone street is adorned with festive lights and decorations. Snow gently falls, enhancing the cozy winter atmosphere in this charming town. I captured this festive winter scene in Quebec City, Canada. The cobblestone streets are part of the old town along the St Laurence River and carries the charm of a European town. While it was cold, I held my breath to steady shaking hands and numb fingers on my camera long enough to capture this image of the festive atmosphere during the winter holidays. Embrace the quiet beauty.
Description: I designed this holiday scene as a Christmas card for your enjoyment. A charming street scene adorned with Santa Claus and decorations. Snowflakes gently fall, enhancing the festive atmosphere. I had the opportunity to visit the Old Town of Québec City during the winter holidays. Truly magical filled with of old world charm. It was a cold winter evening and holding the camera steady without shaking was a challenge, Finally I held my breath and leaned in tight to get a clear shot. I followed up by enjoying a hot cup of coco to warmup. Whew!

Description: The first snow of the season transforms this discarded window frame into a striking black and white abstract. Captured during my morning walk, the soft backlight of the winter sun highlights the delicate snow accents along the edges, creating a timeless, minimalist composition. Shot with my Fuji XE1, known for its organic rendering, this piece blends fine art photography with everyday beauty. Perfect for those who love winter landscapes, minimalist design, and monochrome wall art. Enjoy!
Description: Captured in the quiet stillness of early spring, this black & white print channels serenity and power. Morning sunlight dances across the cascading water, while lingering ice clings to the rocks—marking the seasonal shift from winter’s grip to spring’s renewal. Using a slow shutter speed, I emphasized the fluid texture of the falls, inviting viewers to feel the rhythm and serenity of this moment. The sound of rushing water, the crisp air, and the light all come together in a scene that’s both peaceful and alive. This will look great for your home decor or printed on a variety of products.

This photo has all the elements of a great story, and this photo speaks volumes to me! Sunshine, good times, and memories of summers in my youth are all evoked by the old truck and sunflowers. The combine was similar to what we had growing up on our family farm. I couldn't have asked for a better composition! I can relate this to summers of my youth, and I hope you can too. Description: The red trillium is one of my favourite wildflowers. Blooming before white trilliums is something I look forward to each spring when the flowers make a brief appearance in the woods. I made this image just as the late evening sun highlighted the flower in the forest. The low-angle light brought out the textures of the flower. It is easy to identify as it has one flower with three petals. Found in deciduous mixed forests, it is a true spring ephemeral blooming before the leaves are out on the trees. Often found mixed with the more common white trillium. While it is a perennial, growing in the shaded forest floor, it may take up to seven years from seed to store enough energy in the rhizome to pro

Description: his is a close-up of a yellow daffodil growing in my garden. While different flowers bloom throughout the season in my garden, daffodils are an early bloomer that heralds the arrival of spring! Description: I discovered this wooden barrel while exploring behind an old mill. It was along a streambank, and it looked like the barrel was holding up a massive trunk of a willow tree. It looked like the weight of the tree trunk was slowly crushing the barrel although the rusty hoops are still holding the barrel together. I just thought it was a curious find and composition. Description: I thought I was viewing a movie set when I came across this while exploring Prince Edward Island. Gillis' Drive In Restaurant is one of the last car hops service in Canada. It is located in the community of Montague, within the Town of Three Rivers, Kings County PEI. This 60's style drive-in had a lot of character and a great opportunity to create a story of nostalgia So I returned the next day at daybreak to photograph the the site to create this watercolour. Just as the sun peaked over the sign I got the final shot! It's not every day I come across an opportunity to photograph a scene that speaks of days gone by. But fortunately it all came together and I now have this great image to share. Do you you have memories of you favor...

Description: There is a time in fall, when the crops are off the fields and before the snow flies. The autumn colors are contrasted by the grey skies that reminds us of the impending cold weather. This particular field near my home area has some interesting rolling hills and makes a good study. I have photographed it before with various results. On this day it was in late October and the rolling clouds provided a dynamic flow in contrast to the abstract lines of the landscape. It's not every day the clouds fill the sky with drama. Sometimes you are at the right spot at the right time. This will look great framed on your wall in your home or office or produced on a variety of products.
