Shooting between the fence posts near the south pylon of the Harbour Bridge turned out to be easier because there were less people & less interruptions by ferries & cruise boats. Southern Swan Sailing Ship, Sydney, NSW, Australia Southern Swan is a traditional Baltic trader, currently rigged as a three-masted barquentine. She is typical of coastal trading ships from the era 1840s to 1940s.

Sometimes ghostly figures can be distracting in photos, but I thought they really worked here. To me it shows a day in the life of the Opera House. Some people were sitting down after having walked a long way, taking advantage of the fact that these seats offered a very good view. Others were posing, recording the moment in time when they got to stand in front of one of the icons of Australia. Some were taking a stroll after a dinner date at one of the many restaurants lining the Quay. In short, it is a place that is always full of life, no matter what time of day or night you happen to stop by.

I was in Sydney recently and had the luxury of being able to wander around the Harbour with my camera taking photos. I was really excited when I saw this lady and her family with her umbrella.

The Museum of Comtemporary Arts at Circular Quay lit up as part of the Vivid Sydney Music & Light Festival, 2012. The Opera House was less spectacular than in past years but the MCA had a brilliant dynamic display of colours, patterns & graphics & shared the bill with Customs House as the highlight for me of this years festival. If only I had found out about the Amon Tobin music spectacular in the Concert Hall before it had sold out !!! On a steamy hot Australia Day, 2011 Sydneysiders were flocking to the water .. beaches, harbours, anywhere cooler. Manly, on the northern side of the harbour is a great place to be on a hot day.
