Castle Rock (sometimes referred to as the Rock) is a fictional town appearing in Stephen King's fictional Maine topography, providing the setting for a number of his novels, novellas, and short stories. Castle Rock first appeared in King's 1979 novel The Dead Zone and has since been referred to or used as the primary setting in many other works by King. As a native of Durham, Maine, King was inspired by his hometown when creating Castle Rock. The town name is taken from the fictional mountain fort in William Golding's 1954 novel Lord of the Flies. Other notable fictional towns that King has used as the central setting in more than one work include Derry and Jerusalem's Lot.

Jerusalem's Lot, Maine (often shortened to 'Salem's Lot or just the Lot) is a fictional town and a part of writer Stephen King's fictional Maine topography. 'Salem's Lot has served as the setting for a number of his novels, novellas, and short stories. It first appeared in King's 1975 novel 'Salem's Lot, and has reappeared as late as his 2019 novel The Institute (see list below). The town is described as being located in Cumberland County, between (or including parts of) the towns of Falmouth, Windham, and Cumberland, near the southern part of the state about 10 miles north of Portland. A map on King's official website, though, places 'Salem's Lot considerably further north, approximately in Northwest Piscataquis.

Needful Things is a 1991 horror novel by American author Stephen King. It is the first novel King wrote after his rehabilitation from drug and alcohol addiction. It was made into a film of the same name in 1993 which was directed by Fraser C. Heston. The story focuses on a shop that sells collectibles and antiques, managed by Leland Gaunt, a new arrival to the town of Castle Rock, Maine, the setting of many King stories.

Silver Bullet is a 1985 American horror thriller film based on the 1983 Stephen King novella Cycle of the Werewolf. It stars Gary Busey, Everett McGill, and Corey Haim, with Megan Follows, Terry O'Quinn, Lawrence Tierney, Bill Smitrovich, Kent Broadhurst, David Hart, and James Gammon in supporting roles. The film is directed by Dan Attias, written by King and produced by Martha De Laurentiis.

Derry

The Losers Club are major protagonists of the Stephen King multiverse. Serving as the main protagonists of the novel IT, and are cameo characters in 11/22/63, and Insomnia, while being mentioned in Dreamcatcher. They are group of seven preteen misfit children who all lived in the fictional town of Derry, Maine. The group is first formed in the summer of 1958 and is led by Bill Denbrough. They reunite in Derry 27 years later in 1985 on the strength of an old and nearly forgotten promise, except for Stan Uris. They are archenemies of Pennywise and the arch-rivals of Henry Bowers.

This one is for those who are into the really obscure stuff, so hang on to your hats… in the 2017 movie adaptation of S. King’s IT, this rather cryptic logo appears briefly in a single scene on a truck hat worn by Bower’s Gang member, Reginald “Belch” Huggins. On his walk home from school, Ben Hanscom is attacked by the Bowers Gang on the Kissing Bridge. Henry starts carving his name into Ben’s stomach, but Ben escapes to the Barrens. Not that any of this is important, but give a little context to the design which appears on screen to say ‘ERAD’ beneath a pawn symbol, but actually says FRATI with some funky underscore/line stuff obscuring the letters.

The Tracker Brothers was Derry's trucking workshop that was owned and maintained by Phil and Tony Tracker in the novel, It. Behind the workshop is an old and run-downed baseball field that the Derry kids would often occupy. Every once in a while, Tony Tracker would come out onto the field and coach some of the kids that were there, teaching them to improve their batting skills (to which Tony had often referred to as the "ash-handle"). There were several notable residents and characters that often attended the field on a daily basis, including Stan Uris, Peter Gordon, and Reginald "Belch" Huggins (who was an excellent batter). Eddie Kaspbrak would also sometimes watch the games, often returning foul balls.

Jade of The Orient was the Chinese restaurant in Derry, Maine where the Loser's Club reunited in 1985 in the 1986 novel, It. The scene is a memorable one no matter which iteration you know it from, the book, the 1990 mini-series, or the 2019 big-screen adaptation.
