Bluebell Wood Number of views as of 21st June 2018 = 310. The merry, merry month of May is a fine time to rediscover those ancient English woodlands, and the carpets of bluebells often found there. This particular wood is not far from the village of Corfe Castle, Isle of Purbeck, Dorset, England. Date: 11th May 2014.

A carpet of Spring bluebells growing amongst the trees is a sure sign you are in a centuries old woodland where people have wandered in the forest glades for hundreds of years, surrounded by the same bluebells we see today. If only they could talk!

A small path leads invitingly through the English bluebells in this Durham woodland in Spring. The bluebells (hyancinthoides non-scripta) are indications of ancient woodland and with a blue sky ahead who could resit! The bluebells are at their best in May when this picture was taken.
