This is a closeup image of the baroque fountain top (shown in previous images) located at Praça do Rossio (Rossio Square) in Lisbon. Trafalgar Square fountain in London

This image depicts the fountain on the wonderful square in Evora, Portugal, I was there on an extraordinarily clear day to enjoy the history and beauty of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Evora has a history that goes back thousands of years, including periods of occupation by the Romans and the Moors.

Laid out along Abercorn Street in 1837, picturesque Lafayette Square features this semiquancentenary fountain, placed in 1983 commemorating Savannah's 250th anniversary, and several historically and architecturally significant buildings.

The Fontana di Trevi or Trevi Fountain is the most famous and arguably the most beautiful fountain in all of Rome, Italy. This impressive monument dominates the small Trevi square located in the Quirinale District. Taming of the waters is the theme of the gigantic scheme that tumbles forward, mixing water and rockwork, and filling the small square. Tritons guide Neptune’s shell chariot, taming seahorses (hippocamps). In the center (shown in this shot) is superimposed a robustly modelled triumphal arch. The center niche, or exedra, framing Neptune has free-standing columns for maximal light-and-shade. Famed author Flannery O’Connor’s childhood home is here, along with the Andrew Low House, the Hamilton-Turner Inn, the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, and the William Battersby House all calling Lafayette Square home.

Fountain with Angels was sculpted by Giovanni Antonio Cybei and provided water for local citizens before every home had running one.

Dundas Square, Toronto, Canada. What better way to cool off during a hot day in the city. Seeing this kid running full speed through the fountains suddenly brought back some very vivid memories of doing the same thing. I was really tempted to join in.
