Richard the Lionheart was King of England and the main Christian commander of the Third Crusade.

A monogram of chi (Χ) and rho (Ρ) as the first two letters of Greek Khristos Christ, used as a Christian symbol. This was given to the Emperor Constantine in a vision by God prior to battle. He instructed his army to paint this symbol on his shield, and as a result was victorious! This logo is black in color and has a "weathered" look.

The San Miguel Mission in Socorro New Mexico had fallen into such bad shape that it was closed in 2010. In November 2013, the Conrad Hilton Foundation awarded a $1.1 million grant. It is now restored, beautiful and an active Catholic Church. Missions were important parts of the trade routes traveled by Spanish and Indian alike. During the Spanish colonial period in New Mexico, El Camino Real de Tierra Adentro (Royal Road of the Interior), was the major trade route between Mexico City and Santa Fe in New Mexico. The Royal Road passed the village of the Pilabó, home to the Piro Indians which is near today's Socorro, NM. Biblical scene, Wieliczka Salt Mine. Bas-relief carving in salt depicting the Wedding at Cana story from the Christian bible, where Jesus (left) turned water into wine. This carving, in the chapel of Saint Kinga, in the Wieliczka Salt Mine, was done in the period 1927-1963 by the miner and sculptor Antoni Wyrodek. The salt mine at Wieliczka, Poland, is one of the oldest in the world. It was started in the 13th century and is still in use in the 21st century. By the 19th century, vast underground caverns had been excavated to depths of several hundred metres, including statues sculpted out of the salt deposits. In 1978, the mine became a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
