A Book of Hours, known as "Le livre d'heures de Pierre II de Bretagne" in its original French, is a medieval illuminated manuscript created between 1455-1457 for Pierre II, also known as Pierre the Simple, the Duke of Brittany. The manuscript is currently housed at the Bibliothèque nationale de France in Paris (ms. lat. 1159). A Book of Hours follows the liturgy of the Hours of Nantes and Paris and is made up of 177 pages measuring 19 cm by 13 cm. This illuminated manuscript is adorned with fifty miniatures and vignettes adorning the borders.
