Description: Meganeura lived during the Late Carboniferous period (300MYA) and was the apex aerial predator of it's day, dominating the skies before birds, pterosaurs, or mammals had evolved. Resembling modern day dragonflies but much much bigger, they had a maximum wingspan of roughly 28 inches.
Description: The death moth has fascinated artists for a long time, and this is my surreal interpretation of it. I went overboard with skulls and eyeballs, added some horns and bone like structures… Overall, I spent like 30 hours designing this tiny beast to make it look evil, macabre, spooky, gothic and extra cool. I hope you like it, I really enjoyed drawing it…
