These three wild African lion cubs were part of a large pride. They would come together, nuzzle each other, meow at each other, and disturb the other older lions in the pride. It was a lot of fun watching them! Moremi Game Reserve, Botswana.

I imagine that Mrs Coulter smells sweet and sophisticated but with some dark tinges you can't quite place

I took this photo in color, but decided to see how it would look without the artificial light colors. This is the result!

It was a joy to watch this lioness and one of her cubs snuggle up together in the bush and sit patiently in the morning sun. Every now and then, one of the other cubs would come up to them, seeking mom's attention also.

This is my cat, Max, who gladly poses for my camera more often than he possibly should! Recently, a banana taped to a wall sold for $100,000. Surely, a photo of a cat WEARING a banana must then be worth a little something, right? :-)

A lone African elephant wanders in Savuti Park, Botswana, at sunset. We were definitely at the right place at the right time for this view!

I took this photo in November, 2019 on a mild, clear afternoon. You can clearly see the leaves changing color.

This gorgeous male moose made a perfect appearance at the beginning of our tour in Denali National Park in July, 2018. He was mere feet away from our tour bus, not at all disturbed by our presence!

This wild dog was calmly sitting down while most of the rest of the pack decided to take a nap. It was getting towards mid-day, when many safari animals rest.

Male Kudu with Oxpecker birds walking slowly through Moremi Game Reserve, Botswana. The birds clean ticks and other parasites off of animals. Male Kudus have twisted horns, while females have no horns at all. They are one of the largest species of antelopes.

These two wild dogs are part of a larger pack. We probably spent half an hour or more observing them as they mainly settled down to rest and walked around a bit. They're fascinating creatures, often mistaken for hyenas. They look a bit like German Shepherds with satellite dishes for ears, don't they?

I captured this sunrise at Kruger National Park, South Africa. They say that there's nothing like sunrise and sunset in Africa, and I must agree!

These two eagles in Ketchikan, Alaska, were flying so fast that I didn't even realize this had happened until I went back to look at my photos!

Victoria Falls was full of water during this visit in June, 2013. It was so active, in fact, that you'd get wet and would need a rain jacket just to walk a fairly short distance into the park. It was truly lovely though!

This zebra was part of a small herd walking slowly through the bush in the mid afternoon in Moremi Game Reserve, Botswana.

These little green and yellow collared sunbirds were just hanging out at one of the parking lots, enjoying the nectar of the yellow flowers at Kruger National Park, South Africa.

These beautiful birds can be found through many of the great wildlife parks in sub-Saharan Africa. The rainbow coloring and gorgeous iridescent blue color when they fly make these birds some of the most unique I've ever encountered.
