Seizures suck! There's no other way to say it. You are perfectly fine. And then, well, all eyes on you, right? Show the world how Strong As F@#$! you are! Most people wouldn't be able to stand up and keep going after having the world watch them at their most vulnerable. But not you! You get up, and keep moving. You show them what you are made of everyday. Epilepsy doesn't stop you, it just gives you pause from time to time. And if they laugh, swipe them off your shoulder like Luke Skywalker.

They were fine. What's happening? Maybe it was fever related? No they didn't hit their head! Your life now becomes specialists and years of waiting for them to finally call it EPILEPSY. Drug cocktails, EEGS, MRIs, CAT SCANS, ugh, and Brain Surgery. Did it work? Yes.Maybe.No. You are there for everything you thought would never happened when your perfect little baby was born. You are Strong As F@#$ and don't you forget it! You are a Mom. Life is good. Kids are happy. Seizure! Wait, that wasn't supposed to happen. Maybe it was a fluke. I'm pretty sure I didn't hit my head. Was it my period acting crazy? Do I have a fever? Tests.Time goes by. But you are still Mom. Kids need to be fed. They need to go to school. They need love. They need MOM!

No one understands. They certainly can't see! It hurts. In ways no one truly gets. From the moment you wake up (if you've actually slept), to the moment you attempt to sleep. Getting dressed is a chore. Light of any sort is a pain in the eyes and the head. Sitting in one position is imossible, but then standing for relief is no help either. Household chores take all day, imagine what it is like to actually hold a job. Most of us are unable to. But you keep swimming. You have to. Because the world doesn't see. Heck, most doctors don't see. So you just keep swimming. You are Strong As F@#$!!!!

It was scary wasn't it? Scary As F@#$!!! You've been there for everything! Doctors, treatments, backslides. But you've been there for all the joys! The first Birthday! The first walk! The first run! It's a balancing act and you are the one they lean on. Spread awareness and keep the conversation going....

I didn't have a seizure! But you are going to the hospital anyway. Wait, what about my kids?? Dad, it's ok, we're right behind you? Ok, But did we win?

Just living your lives. Cute couple. She's quirky. Wait, are you ok? She's not answering. You go get her dad. What's going on? I think she's having a seizure. There's nothing to do but wait. If it last longer than 5 minutes, we call someone I think. It's done. Are you ok? She's not quite sure what's going on. She's not quite sure who anyone is. It takes a bit. But then, she see you, and she feels better. You are the Strong As F@#$ Boyfriend.

Are you a Wife with a Cystic Fibrosis Warrior? Raise awareness and show the world how Strong As F@#$ You Are!!!! You've been there for everything. In Sickness and In Health. You've done the extra drop-offs or pick-ups at school, been to the games. But you've also been to the doctor's appointments. You've held them in your arms when it was a very bad flare. You are there to help them decide to change doctors or treatments because they've had enough and it's not going anywhere. You are there for it all. You stand by them. Keep the conversation going. Spread awareness. Until there is no more.

Other kids will never know what it is to be like a Cystic Fibrosis Kid. Whether you are the kid of A Cystic Fibrosis Warrior, watching the treatments, or seeing the ambulance pull up to the house. Or, YOU are the the CF KID!!! From that early age where the doctors are testing you trying to figure it out. They know, but they don't want to say anything to scare your parent(s). From there, it's a lifetime of doctors, breathing function tests, treatments three, four or more times a day. Vests and masks. You are taking so many pills when kids you age are chewing Flintstones vitamins. Needles. But! But! No, that's not stopping you! You fight to Breathe, and so you will fight to live!
