Believe it or not... I've spent hours and hours staring out to sea over my years as a photographer, looking for such a - 'simple image'. A real difficult one to depict and accurately portray. The long leading light to the horizon, waves, yet not the white horses which tend to break up such an image... Light flow from the setting sun... The image, isolated for the better pattern - texture. The ever tempestuous swirling sea...

When on vacation in Cozumel I had the pleasure of snorkeling in one of the cenotes. While underwater I happened upon a beautiful slider turtle gliding through the seaweed. We swam together for a bit and then parted ways. I'll never forget the peace and tranquility of that slow glide under the waves. I think the "steady as she goes" lifestyle of the turtle is really starting to appeal to me.
