Wire 154 Pins and Buttons
Description: 154 is the third album by the English post-punk band Wire, released in 1979 on EMI imprint Harvest Records in the UK and Europe and Warner Bros. Records in America. Branching out even further from the minimalist punk rock style of their earlier work, 154 is considered a progression of the sounds displayed on Wire's previous album Chairs Missing, with the group experimenting with slower tempos, fuller song structures and a more prominent use of guitar effects, synthesizers and electronics.
Description: A black background showcases a collection of geometric shapes including rectangles and triangles in green, blue, and pink. Some shapes are arranged in an abstract, fragmented composition. Text in the upper left reads 'WIRE 154' in large block letters, with smaller text below detailing "VISUAL FORM AND SUBJECT MATTER". Wavy line elements are interspersed with the shapes.

Description: A fractured post-punk transmission built from severe geometry, broken typography and analog signal noise. Inspired by the clinical art-school tension surrounding Wire's late-'70s era, the composition turns minimal forms into something strangely mechanical, nervous and alive.

Description: Before post-punk found its shape, Wire were already dismantling the blueprint. Inspired by the stark innovation of their late-'70s era, this weathered underground poster channels fractured guitar rhythms, tangled transmission lines, and the cold geometry of Britain's concrete landscape. With brutalist architecture, distorted radio signals, and distressed screen-print textures, it captures the restless experimental spirit behind Pink Flag, Chairs Missing, and 154.
