Hillman College is a fictional, historically black college that was part of both The Cosby Show and the spin-off, A Different World. The exact locality of the school is never revealed, but is alluded to be halfway between Richmond and the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. Exterior shots of the Hillman campus that were used in the series were actually filmed at two real-life Black colleges, Clark Atlanta University and Spelman College, both in Atlanta, Georgia. The first references to Hillman on The Cosby Show were made during season one, when it is mentioned as the place where Cliff and Clair went to school while they were engaged. Gunther was an established Baltimore brewery with a heritage that pre-dated Prohibition. The brewery operated until 1959 when it was purchased by Theodore Hamm, a large Minnesota-based brewer. Hamm was attempting to expand his territory into the East and bought Gunther as his first outpost, but rather than continue to brew Gunther for local customers and introduce his own brands over time, Hamm instead eliminated Gunther's on day one, essentially giving the finger to the loyal local base. Hamm only stayed for three years before selling the brewery and brands to Schaefer, a large Brooklyn-based brewer. Schaefer reintroduced Gunther, though Hamm had done so much damage that the brand never quite recovered.

He is celebrated for his vibrant and atmospheric portrayals of everyday life, landscapes, and portraits, which exemplify his remarkable talent and deep understanding of color, light, and brushwork.

This composition woke me up at 4:30 in the morning. I was compelled to get up and render it.
