Beggar's Canyon was a dry river bed that cut through Ben's Mesa, on the desert world of Tatooine. Its landmarks included the so-called Dead Man's Turn, the Diablo Cut, and the Stone Needle. Beggar's Canyon led to the Desert Plain on one side, and to Ebe Crater Valley on the other side, with the junction being known as the Notch.

Womp rats were creatures native to Tatooine.Considered to be a pest, they nested in the desert and would sometimes gather in swarms to attack the inhabitants of Tatooine. The smell of dead womp rats was known to attract krayt dragons.During the Clone Wars, when Anakin Skywalker was having trouble getting information out of Dr. Nuvo Vindi, Obi-Wan Kenobi told him to have patience, as there was "more than one way to skin a womp rat."

Dagobah was a remote, unexplored planet in the Dagobah system, and one of the purest places in the galaxy within the Force. A remote world of swamps and forests, it served as a refuge for Jedi Grand Master Yoda during his exile after the destruction of the Jedi Order. Luke Skywalker received advanced training in the ways of the Force under Jedi Master Yoda on Dagobah, and it was later the place of Yoda's death and transformation into the Force.

The Jundland Wastes were a region of Tatooine, a desert planet located in the Outer Rim Territories. The Great Chott salt flat existed in the southeastern extreme of the Jundland Wastes. Black melons grew in the Jundland Wastes, providing Tusken Raiders with a reliable source of milk. Luke Skywalker was attacked by a group of Tusken Raiders led by A'Koba in the Jundland Wastes, before being rescued by Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi.

The Lars moisture farm, also known as the Lars homestead, was a moisture farm on Tatooine owned and operated by the Lars family. Shortly before the Clone Wars, Cliegg Lars lived on the property with his second wife, Shmi Skywalker Lars, and son Owen Lars. Shmi's son, Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, visited the farm and learned of his step-family before discovering that his mother had been captured and, ultimately, killed by Tusken Raiders. After Skywalker fell to the dark side of the Force and helped destroy the Jedi Order, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi took Anakin's son, Luke Skywalker, to the Lars homestead, where the boy was raised by Owen and his wife, Beru.
