The team played at Soldier Field. Tickets for the Spurs games were marketed and sold through Sears Roebuck in the Chicago area. With the merger of the NPSL following the 1967 season to form the North American Soccer League, the Spurs were moved to Kansas City, Missouri and became the Kansas City Spurs, so as not to compete with fellow NASL team, the Chicago Mustangs. The club's colors were red and white.
