Bob Wilkins was unique among horror hosts in that he wasn't playing a character. Except he also kind of WAS playing a character ... watching Creature Features was like taking a guided tour by one of the many scientific heroes/villains that haunted B-movies during the golden and silver age of horror.

From 1971, until 1984, Bob Wilkens hosted a wonderful television program called Creature Features. It was broadcast from channel 2 in the San Francisco Bay Area, but made its way to other areas. Bob passed away in 2009, and I still think about his awesome show.
