This digital imaging honors "The Filthy 13", the 1st Demolition Section of the Regimental Headquarters Company of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division. Prior to jumping into Nazi-occupied Europe on D-Day, 1944, the members of this elite sub-unit shaved their heads into Mohawks and donned war paint at the suggestion of Sergeant Jake McNiece, to honor the warrior spirit of his Native American ancestors. So um well I can so explain. I was bored and wanted to play around with the second opinion. (by the way how to work with that face is kinda hard) I also wanted to see if I could move Archimedes around (I can wooo) I was just fiddling really I had to do 2 separate images so I can do the separate faces then a little photoshoping. I think I did kinda well. This was really more or less experimentation of this that and the other thing. Oh and the map this is on is Rottenburg but it is one with out the lights on if that makes any difference at all. I mean I couldn't find Rottenburg within the in SFM files so I found this one in the steam work shop and played with that. And by played I mean find a random wall. Yea go me. (finger twi...

The 92nd Engineer Battalion is a unit of the United States Army with a record of accomplishment in both peace and war; an organization that provides sustained engineer support across the full spectrum of military operations. The 92nd Engineer Battalion is one of the Army’s first modular engineer battalion headquarters. The unit’s history of service begins in 1933 with deployments to Britain, North Africa, Italy during World War II, Vietnam War, hurricane relief efforts, Desert Storm/Shield and numerous deployments in support of the Global War on Terrorism in Iraq and Afghanistan. The battalion nickname is "Black Diamonds".

On 2 May 1965 the battalion, under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Howard L. Sargent, Jr., deployed to South Vietnam as part of the 1st Infantry Division. For five years the battalion cleared obstacles, built roads, airfields, basecamps and bridges in support of numerous combat operations including Junction City I and II and the Tet Offensive of 1968. The battalion's DieHard Tunnel Rat section cleared the extensive Vietcong tunnel systems with little more than small arms and demolitions. The battalion received four Meritorious Unit Commendations for actions during the Vietnam War.

The term has been used to describe veterans who were in the armed forces of South Vietnam, the United States armed forces, and countries allied to them, whether or not they were stationed in Vietnam during their service. However, the more common usage distinguishes between those who served "in country" and those who did not serve in Vietnam by referring to the "in country" veterans as "Vietnam veterans" and the others as "Vietnam-era veterans".
