Dracula Lord Of Vampires Posters and Art Prints
Description: In the mid-'70s, Omega Man and Planet of the Apes were hot sci-fi films garnering a lot of public interest, so when you're looking for a new comic book title, why not merge themes from both hit movies and give it a vampire twist? Surely it can't lose, right? Sadly, 1975's Planet of Vampires didn't cut it and only made it for three issues before the title was canceled by its publisher.
Description: Dracula is a 1931 American pre-Code supernatural horror film directed and co-produced by Tod Browning from a screenplay written by Garrett Fort and starring Bela Lugosi in the titular role. It is based on the 1924 stage play Dracula by Hamilton Deane and John L. Balderston, which in turn is adapted from the 1897 novel Dracula by Bram Stoker. Lugosi portrays Count Dracula, a vampire who emigrates from Transylvania to England and preys upon the blood of living victims, including a young man's fiancée. Please, if you liked this design, you can help me a lot by sharing it or following my work. I will really be very grateful to you!

Description: Planet of Vampires may not have made comic book history, but it’s a great example of the kinds of experimental stories that publishers were willing to explore in the 1970s. It’s also a reminder that even short-lived titles can leave a lasting impression on fans of vintage sci-fi horror.
