Monaro Posters and Art Prints
Description: The HQ model replaced the HG Holden. It was the first ground-up redesign of the Holden line since its original release in 1948, and included an all-new body, chassis, and suspension. 'The HQ model Monaro's new coupé design had a much larger rear window and a squarer rear quarter window; it was somehow seen as not as sporty looking compared to the earlier HK-HT-HG series, but is often now considered one of the best looking body designs to come from an Australian manufacturer.' Description: The General Attacks! Based on the 1968 HK Holden Kingswood, this beautifully styled coupe could be powered by the Holden straight six, or as in the GTS version, a Chevrolet 327 cubic inch V8 and four-speed manual transmission. With Ford winning the 1967 Bathurst 500 race with its first Falcon GT model (powered by a Mustang 289 cubic inch V8), Holden hit back by winning the 1968 enduro. And comfortably too: the first four placings were Monaro GTS, Monaro GTS, Monaro GTS, Monaro GTS. This was the first outright Bathurst 500/1000 win by Holden. This white line art drawing is one in a series of rear end views of classic U.S. and Australian classic cars.
Description: A celebration of the legendary 1971 Holden Monaro GTS and Australian muscle-car culture. The artwork showcases a sinister black Monaro with detailed interior, wheels, V8 engine, and rear styling, highlighted by metallic chrome, purple accents, and classic GTS graphics.

Description: The HQ model replaced the HG Holden. It was the first ground-up redesign of the Holden line since its original release in 1948, and included an all-new body, chassis, and suspension. Body and trim variants were: four-door sedan, four door station wagon, Monaro two-door coupe, utility, panel van, "One-Tonner" cab-chassis pickup, and Statesman (finally with extended wheelbase comfort). There were some trim levels that carried over from the previous models, but also some new ones: Belmont Kingswood Premier Monaro Statesman One Tonner SS Sandman
Description: Released near the end of 1977, the HZ Holden range was the last of the “H’ models dating back to the 1965 HD Holden. Now with RTS - ‘Radial Tuned Suspension’ - was the best handling of all of them. The ‘GTS’ variant was the best of the HZ model. The last car named a Monaro was the previous model - HX Monaro GTS. But the HZ was a better handler and still with the gutsy 5.0 litre 308 V8. Some call it a Monaro, but Holden never badged it as such. With the Commodore name coming on the next generation of cars launching in 1979, the HZ Holden days were short.
