A pretty corner in the town Laujar de Andarax in La Alpujarra Almeriens, Almeria, Andalucia, Spain. The flowers of the bougainvillea and lantana make a colourful subject for my watercolour and there was a sleepy cat to include in the composition. Carpinteria California Surfing Surf Patriotic Wave Rincon

Monsoon season strikes the southwestern US each year around July. In 2020 the monsoon season got off to a slow start in Tucson, AZ, where I had hoped for a lot more rain than actually showed up. This is the best shot I got during our two week stay. Here you see a nice healthy lightning bolt strike the Rincon Mountians, southeast of Tucson, as the storm approached the southern entrance to Sabino Canyon.
