485m up in Wharfedale, Simon's Seat can reached by a rewarding walk from nearby Bolton Abbey. It offers views across to Skipton. he climb is well worth it as you walk through the scenic valley of desolation on to Barden Fell. At the highest point you reach Simon's Seat. It is a place that offers splendid views of the surrounding area on a clear day. After taking lunch here you can then look forward to descending to Parceval Hall and magnificent Troller's Gill. This is followed by a pleasant walk over to Appletreewick before continuing along the banks of the River Wharfe. Then you finish off with continuing to follow the Wharfe as it becomes agitated in the rapids and waterfalls that are to be found in the famous Strid Wood. This is a bri...

A rustic dilapidated farm gate along a country lane in Gloucestershire England on a winters day.

The gateway into the meadow known as Oxley's Shaw in Tidmarsh, West Berkshire. Here we've just crossed over the River Pang by way of the footbridge immediately below Tidmarsh Mill and are abouit to head over the meadows to Sulham. These villages are very near the larger community of Pangbourne. It's a fine February day although very cold and quite muddy underfoot!

Eggesford is a parish in mid-Devon, without its own substantial village. It is served by Eggesford railway station on the Exeter to Barnstaple railway line, also known as the Tarka Line. There are several memorial monuments in the church, including two particularly fine ones of the Chichester family which include very high quality alabaster effigies.

Abandoned Farm is a black and white photographic art print of an abandoned farm building. The setting is near the Amana Colonies located in Eastern Iowa. I saw these empty buildings and hiked around a bit to find the perfect perspective to tell the story.
