It is a small bird that has a typical length of 16 cm (6.3 in) and a mass of 24–39.5 g (0.85–1.39 oz). Females and young birds are coloured pale brown and grey, and males have brighter black, white, and brown markings. One of about 25 species in the genus Passer, the house sparrow is native to most of Europe, the Mediterranean Basin, and a large part of Asia.
Description: A drawing of a male house sparrow in India ink with crown pen coloured with transparent watercolour. The little bird sits on an angled branch and you can see him on his back, allowing you to see the drawing of his back feathers beautifully. He looks over so he is looking at you with one eye.
Description: Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Matthew 6:26 Hand drawn with pencil and coloured & made into a pattern in Photoshop.
