Steam racer is an illustration based on a a planned multiplayer racing game on a single screen where players must survive the longest while dodging the elements of the scenery and the surrounding dangers

A collection of Sir Nigel Gresley designed record breakers. Flying Scotsman LNER number 4472 became the first steam locomotive to be officially authenticated at a speed of 100 MPH in 1934. Silver Link LNER number 2509 the first steam locomotive to record 112 MPH in 1935. Mallard LNER number 4468 is the holder of the world speed record for a steam locomotive at 126 mph in 1938 and 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley set a post-war steam speed record of 112mph in 1959.

London and North Eastern Railway (LNER) A4 Class locomotive Mallard, in a design incorporating the nameplate.

A composite photograph, which took 8 weeks to create, of an Rx Class Steam Train crossing the motor/railway bridge at Murray Bridge. This print was part of my Road, River & Rail exhibition at the Murray Bridge Regional Gallery.

926 ‘Repton’ was completed at Eastleigh in May 1934. After a spell at Bournemouth it operated from Fratton (Portsmouth) depot until the Waterloo-Portsmouth route was electrified in July 1937. It was then one of ten ‘Schools’ locomotives transferred to Bournemouth as replacements for ‘King Arthurs’ on the London expresses. It remained at Bournemouth for most of the war, being used on the lighter expresses and, after the war, on inter-regional trains. Further electrification caused more moves of these locomotives and ‘Repton’ was withdrawn from Basingstoke depot, with the remaining members of the class, on 30 December, 1962, just 2 years after a major service.
