Utah Thompson Springs Cisco I70 Posters and Art Prints

We were on the Rocky Mountaineer on the second day of a journey from Denver to Moab. While I can't be certain, I think this image was captured between Thompson Springs and Cisco in Utah. The railway line roughly parallels the course of the I70 in that part of Utah. I was really struck by the deeply sculpted hills to the north; hills that had been carved out by the elements over millions of years. The weather-eroded hills stood in stark contrast to the deep blue of the sky. It was quite a visual treat. Despite the harsh, austere look of the hills, they were remarkably colourful, Although predominately yellow, there were shades of brown and even a bit of green where plant life had taken root. A stunning landscape.
